Mumbai, Feb 6 : The Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE)remained firm for the fifth straight session today as it surged by 102.35 points to 17,707.31, a 14-week high, as all the indices ended in green, except health care, amidst a mixed trend in the Asian markets.

Mumbai, Feb 7 : Snapping the upward trends of last five sessions,the 30 scrip Index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) nosedived by 84.86 points to end in red at 17,622.45 on selling pressure from local operators along with weak European markets.

Mumbai (The Statesman/ANN) - Stock market regulator the Securities Exchange Board of India (Sebi) today said that all scrip would have a circuit limit from the day of listing on exchanges based on a one-hour pre-open trade, a move aimed at protecting retail investors from artificial pricing of shares.
